Pulled over for drunk driving, now what?

Routine traffic stops can be difficult for drivers to experience. There are times when a driver may know what the stop is about, and other times when he or she honestly has no idea why the police officer initiated the stop. For those in South Carolina and elsewhere who have been pulled over for alleged drunk driving, they may not feel there is much they can do in the moment to protect themselves. This, however, is actually far from the truth.

Changes coming to federal law regarding drug offenders?

Federal laws regarding drug crimes are quite strict. Those convicted of drug crimes at this level stand to face significant fines and lengthy prison terms. This can be good news for those accused of such crimes in South Carolina and elsewhere.

South Carolina criminal defense: Child abuse-related death

Parents have a lot of concerns when raising their children. Being accused of mistreating one's child is one of those things that may not only be difficult to take emotionally, but can drastically alter the course of one's life and affect the future of one's family. The simple truth is that child abuse happens. When a young child dies, it is not uncommon for authorities to question whether abuse was a contributing factor. Those in South Carolina or elsewhere who have been accused of such behavior may find themselves facing an uphill legal battle, and they may benefit from the services offered by an experienced criminal defense attorney.
