According to a recent report, February has been a busy month for law enforcement officials in the Myrtle Beach area. Several individuals have been arrested on a variety of charges -- many involving drugs and/or alcohol. Each of the accused has the right to a criminal defense in a South Carolina criminal court.

The treatment of head injuries can be rather extensive

Those in South Carolina and elsewhere who have suffered major brain injuries may find that the care they need after the fact can be rather extensive. The initial treatment of head injuries and the following rehabilitative care will vary from person to person, based on the severity of the injuries suffered. Sadly, the time and financial resources exhausted for care can be economically and psychologically devastating to the patient and his or her family members.

South Carolina man facing felony DUI charge after auto collisions

A South Carolina man was recently arrested for his alleged involvement in not just one, but two auto collisions on Feb. 4. Authorities claim that this individual was driving while impaired when he hit one vehicle, fled the scene, then struck another -- leaving several people injured and in need of medical care. The accused has been charged with felony DUI and numerous other charges.

Family of man killed in motorcycle accident may seek damages

A tragic motorcycle accident in January resulted in the death of a South Carolina man. Until recently, the victim's family had no idea who was responsible for the incident, as the driver is said to have fled the scene. Authorities have, however, recently arrested the individual they believe was involved in the wreck. With this arrest, the victim's family may finally be able to seek damages in civil court for their losses.

South Carolina car accidents: 3 hurt in head-on collision

A South Carolina woman is accused of causing a two-vehicle crash that resulted in injuries to herself and two others. Head-on car accidents, such as this one, are fairly common, and the damages suffered by the victims and/or their loved ones can be severe. In this particular case, the victims retain the right to seek compensation for any losses they have experienced as a direct result of this crash.

Rape reported in Horry County

Investigators in South Carolina were called to look into a sexual assault that is said to have occurred in Surfside Beach at the end of January. Few details have been released about this event. The accusation in this case is of rape, which is something that will be taken seriously by authorities and can certainly carry significant penalties if the accused is convicted in criminal court.
