South Carolina residents who have been hurt in accidents may face a number of difficulties after the fact. Serious injuries suffered in car accidents can leave victims struggling physically, financially and emotionally. In some cases, the after effects of an accident can be too much to handle alone, and help may be needed.

Hit-and-run accidents can be particularly difficult. In addition to the injuries suffered, having a lack of closure can make these incidents far more emotionally damaging. A recent hit-and-run collision in North Augusta left two individuals with serious injuries and local police on the lookout for the driver believed responsible.

According to police, a grey SUV struck a moped and failed to remain at the scene. The moped driver and a passenger were injured in the wreck. Police have released a detailed description of the SUV involved and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any valuable information regarding the crash to please come forward.

It may be only a matter of time before the driver believed responsible for this wreck is found. In the meantime, the victims of this crash will likely have a long and difficult recovery ahead of them. Injuries suffered in car accidents like this often require comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation, both of which come at a considerable cost. These expenses, along with lost wages for recovery time and a number of other financial losses, can leave the victims struggling in more ways than one. When the driver thought to have been responsible for the wreck is found, those injured retain the right pursue financial compensation by filing personal injury claims against this individual in a South Carolina civil court.
