A South Carolina man is currently behind bars for allegedly committing sex-related crimes against two minors. He is facing several felony charges which, if a conviction is secured by prosecuting attorneys, could carry significant consequences. With so much on the line, this individual would likely benefit from a strong criminal defense offered on his behalf.
The father of two young girls, ages 4 and 6, reported to police that his daughters were sexually abused by an individual who worked in their church. The accused, a 23-year-old male, allegedly admitted to the abuse to a group of church members in which the father was present. According to police, the supposed abuse took place on multiple occasions over the span of about two months.
The individual believed responsible was arrested shortly after reports were received. He is currently being held by police. Charges against him include criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Bond has reportedly been denied in this case.
The felony charges filed against this individual can have life-altering consequences. The potential penalties associated with such allegations in South Carolina include prison time and registration on the Sex Offender Registry — among many others. As with any criminal accusations involving minors, this case is certainly delicate in nature and will require special attention to ensure the rights of all involved are fully protected. For the accused, a variety of defensive strategies may be available to assist him through every stage of his criminal proceedings and in finding a resolution that keeps his best interests at the forefront.
