Wrongful death claim possible after fatal collision

A recent multi-vehicle crash in South Carolina resulted in the death of one man. While the investigation into this incident is still ongoing, police do believe the motorcycle the deceased was riding at the time of the crash was hit head-on by one of the other cars. Depending on the investigative findings, the family members of the victim may decide to pursue a wrongful death claim on his behalf.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old male was killed after his motorcycle was struck in collision involving a total of three vehicles. It is believed that the driver of a sedan crossed into the path of the motorcycle, hitting the victim who then hit a truck. Unfortunately, the young man died before he could be transported for medical treatment.

This incident happened a few hours southwest of Myrtle Beach. Emergency and investigative crews had to partially close the road on which it occurred for some time. It is currently unknown if anyone is facing criminal charges for wreck.

In accordance with the laws of South Carolina, the victim's family is entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim in an effort to seek compensation for any monetary losses they have experienced as a direct result of this tragic accident. Civil claims such as this will require the establishment of proof of negligence in order for a monetary judgment to be granted. If this proof can be provided successfully after a complete investigation into the events surrounding the incident has taken place, fair and full compensation for documented items of financial damages may be awarded.
