A South Carolina man is facing criminal charges for an accident in which two children were reportedly injured. Police believe this individual was impaired at the time of the crash. A strategic criminal defense will, more than likely, help the accused in confronting the charges and seeking the best possible resolution to this matter.
In mid-August, a 34-year-old male was arrested following a crash that occurred in the northwest portion of the state. According to reports, this individual allegedly lost control of his vehicle which, after leaving the roadway, resulted in the car being flipped over after hitting a pole and a tree. Two children, ages 5 and 10, were in the car at the time of the crash. Both were transported for medical care. Their current conditions are unknown.
The accused has been charged with DUI resulting in injury and child endangerment. At this time, it unknown if he is being held by police. It has not been reported if any court dates have been scheduled in regard to this particular case.
As of the latest news report, the relationship of the driver to the children has not been reported. If he is the parent or guardian, aside from facing criminal charges, he could also find himself battling to maintain his legal rights to the children. As so much is potentially on the line in this case, the accused can utilize his right to a criminal defense in order to best manage the situation at hand. An experienced defense attorney will be able to assist the accused by thoroughly investigating any claims made against him, questioning any evidence offered by South Carolina prosecutors and working to ensure his rights are protected throughout the course of his legal proceedings.
