A head-on crash in South Carolina is said to have killed one woman and injured two others. This incident reportedly occurred Dec. 26, in Horry County. Car accidents of this nature can leave victims or their surviving family members in need of relief, which may be possible through legal means.

According to a report, at approximately 1:15 a.m. the day after Christmas, two SUVs — a Dodge and a Toyota — collided head-on on the U.S. 501. The driver of Dodge reportedly crossed the center line of traffic. The driver and a female passenger in the Toyota were both injured in the wreck. Both individuals were transported to a hospital for care; however, the passenger — a 72-year-old woman — later succumbed to her injuries.

A child — a passenger in the Dodge SUV — was also injured in the collision. The 10-year-old’s current condition is unknown. Authorities have indicated that charges are pending in this incident. This case is still being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Those in South Carolina or elsewhere who have been injured or lost loved ones in car accidents are likely to experience various difficulties following such events. These may be physical, mental, financial or a combination of each of these. Those injured in this wreck, their family members and the family members of the deceased may be entitled to compensation for any losses they have sustained as a result of this tragic event. Monetary relief may be awarded by a civil court if legal claims are navigated successfully.
