Police in South Carolina recently arrested a man for his alleged involvement in sex crimes against children. He has been charged on several counts of sexual exploitation of minors and child pornography — all crimes not taken lightly by authorities. If convicted, he could face a lengthy prison term, among other consequences.
The accused — a 68-year-old male — was arrested on March 10, in the Myrtle Beach area. Investigators had supposedly been tipped off to his alleged behavior by out-of-state authorities. According to reports, during a search, police claim to have found digital evidence of child pornography on the accused’s computer. The details of what was allegedly found have not been reported.
The charges filed in this case include 10 counts of sex crimes against children. These are all considered felony level offenses. After his arrest, the accused was transported to a local detention center. Bond was set in his case at $10,000.
