An elderly woman has died and two other individuals were injured in a recent crash in South Carolina. Car accidents that result in injury and/or fatality can have devastating physical, financial and emotional effects. In this particular case, the surviving victim and the family members of the decedent may have legal recourse.
According to reports, this crash occurred June 21, in Greenwood. A vehicle that was heading northbound on the U.S. 25 Bypass was struck by a car whose driver was attempting a left-hand turn. A 94-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle that was struck, suffered a serious head injury and died at the hospital shortly after the incident. The driver and another passenger in the same car were also injured and were transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
Authorities did not release any information about the driver deemed responsible. At this time, police are still investigating this incident. It has not been reported if charges will be filed in this case.
