According to reports, at around 8 a.m. on July 22, the driver of a Honda allegedly crossed over the median on a local road and struck a bus head-on. A 26-year-old woman is said to have died in the wreck. Along with her death, the driver of the bus reportedly suffered unspecified injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

A monetary judgment may be granted if negligence can established to the satisfaction of the court. Along with potentially facing a wrongful death claim, the driver deemed liable for this incident may also face a personal injury claim, as the bus driver may also be entitled to seek monetary relief for his or her losses as well.
